LifePacks are given to survivors and are designed to provide for their basic needs in a way that is mobile. They have proven to have a tremendous life impact. This ministry is an opportunity to show Christ’s love through the simple giving of very basic items. Awaken invites you to become involved with our LifePack ministry. The following items make up a useful LifePack.
Needed Items for LifePacks:
Back Pack
Zip lock bags
Shampoo/Conditioner (2 in 1)
Brush
Hair ties
Lotion
Liquid body soap
Deodorant
Tampons/sanitary napkins
Tooth brush
Tooth paste
Hand sanitizer
Lip gloss/lip balm
BandAids (specific for blisters on the feet)
Snacks (trail mix, granola bars, nuts, gum, jolly ranchers)
Sweat pants, sweat shirts, t-shirts (S-2XL)
Underwear (boy shorts or bikini, no “granny panties” or thongs) 3-7 pairs are given per Lifepack
Socks
Athletic bra (S-2XL)
Slippers
Flip Flops
Small spiral notebook with pen
Reading material (Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul, Redeeming Love)
Gift Cards to Wal-Mart are used to purchase items for survivors that are specific for their needs. This often times includes cell phones and minutes that can be provided to the survivor for emergencies, local resources, job hunting.
Gift Cards for healthy fast food for example Baja Fresh, Jamba Juice, Subway etc.
